Got Bills To Settle?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phil. 4:6.

Life Is Beautiful!

Check out the beauty of the peacock. Watch the sunset tonight. Look up at the stars. Listen to an owl hooting in the night. All point to the wondrous works of GOD... Ecc 3:11.

Let Your Light Shine!

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden...
Matthew 5:14.

Stay Connected To GOD!

There is something that we are going to have to praise our way through. Do not disconnect from HIM. Do not disconnect from HIS throne room.

The GOD Of All Possibilities!

Before you tell me how difficult your situation is, think about this: If He can die for you, what else can’t He do for you? Luke 1:37 says “For with God nothing shall be impossible”

The Magic Of 30...

Number 30 Occurrences and Significance In the Bible

The number 30 is used as a sign of physical and mental maturity. It is an age when you are ripe for leadership. Nearly every time its number is mentioned, it is in reference with some significant event or responsibility. It’s an age when you are no longer a boy, or young man. You’re a man (or woman). Here are some examples:

Joseph was 30 years old when he became 2nd in command to Pharaoh, after being in prison as a slave in Egypt: “And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.” (Genesis 41:46)

The priests officially entered service at age 30: “From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.” (Numbers 4:3)

When Moses died, the Israelites mourned him for 30 days:  “And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.” (Deuteronomy 34:8)

Saul became King when he was 30 years old, before he was a no one: “Saul was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty two years over Israel.” (1 Samuel 13:1)

David became King when he was 30 years old, he was a mere Shepard before his anointing: “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.” (2 Samuel 5:4)

Ezekiel was called by God as a prophet at age 30: “Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.” (Ezekiel 1:1)

John the Baptist was age 30 when he came out from the wilderness to pave the way for the Messiah (Jesus). We know John was roughly 30 because the bible says he was born 6 months before Jesus, and Jesus started his ministry at age 30.

Jesus officially started his ministry at age 30. Before this time, he worked as a carpenter and “grew in stature, wisdom, and favor with God and man.” “Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son of Joseph (Luke 3:23)”

Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver: “Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me to betray Him to you?” And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him. From then on he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Jesus.” (Matthew 26:14)

From the scriptures above, it is quite clear that God places a great amount of emphasis on the age or number 30. I find it fascinating that our Lord Jesus waited all the way to age 30 to begin His official ministry, being obedient to the law of priesthood (and He is indeed our high priest forever and ever).

I think this is a principle people should still follow today. That’s not to say you should do NOTHING until 30. There are many great ways to help out the Kingdom of God.

What’s even more fascinating about this number is that many people above experienced a complete change in their lives at this special age. Joseph was in a prison cell, as an imprisoned slave in Egypt one day, and he was second in command to Pharaoh in one of the most powerful areas on Earth the next day. Can you imagine the despair Joseph must have felt some days? He had a very rough life up until age 30, but wow–God changed it around instantly.

King Saul was a virtual “nobody” before Samuel selected him as Israel’s first King. David also was in a time in his life where he was uncertain if he would ever be king, or even live! In fact, King Saul was trying his best to kill David regularly.

Again, John the Baptist was a guy who ate locusts and wore an odd outfit–yet in his very short ministry (beginning at age 30) Jesus said this about John the Baptist: “I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist.” (Matthew 11:11)

And Jesus Himself went from lowly carpenter from a lowly town to a Messiah and King of Kings–who would change the world He created, pay the penalty for our sins on a cross, rise from the dead, and sit at the right hand of the Father until all is complete– all within about 3 short years.

It just goes to show you that one day life can be so bleak, boring, and you feel like you are getting nowhere fast, and then BOOM–God can mix things up and bless you with incredible power, authority, or anointing. Incredible!

We often wonder if anything significant will happen during the 30th year. Will God place something incredible in our lives? Will there be changes in some way? Will there be an addition of some leadership role, or enter a new career direction? Will anything happen at all?

Either way, it is certainly interesting that God places such emphasis on this age, as it seems to be the age He considers us worthy for leadership and responsibility. You won’t be perfect at this age, or any age. But apparently, you’ll be READY! Ready for whatever God has in store for your life.

God bless you!

The Power Of The Little Things...

“The greatest things in life consists of small things; the big is in the small, the giant is in the child.” – Veradine
Men are consciously or unconscious controlled by big results and forget the fact that every big accomplishment had a small beginning.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step – Chinese Proverb

It is hence the little steps that make up the thousand miles.

Little things are the life of great things; the little consistent breath we take in, keeps us alive!

Little drops of water can make a pond, little grasses make the birds nest, little blocks builds a mighty house, fleeting seconds make a minutes, minutes hours, hours days, days weeks, weeks months, and months years.

To succeed in life, you must seize little opportunities because he who waits for the big day will be too small for it.

To harness the power in  little things, you must discover the secret therein;

The secret in the power of little things is CONSISTENCY.

Consistency guarantees completion. Consistent efforts however small will produce great results.

Consistent practice and training makes stars and champions.

Don’t be afraid to start small, but watch out for the trap of inconsistency.

If  you would reach great heights and achieve great feats, you must necessarily start from where you are with what you have regardless of how small it may be and daily ensure consistency.

To split a rock, you hit consistently at a point until viola! the rock is split…. Yeah, its that simple!

I know you have great dreams and you wish you had greater strength, means, time, people, resources etc so as to achieve your dreams but you need not any thing big to achieve them, all you need do is break your big dream into small achievable bits and like a bird, little by little, build your nest.

That’s why your life is given to you in days and years, so that you can achieve your dreams by the day.

Take the small steps, they make the thousand mile, only ensure that you are constantly moving; whether flying, running, jogging, walking or crawling just ensure you are moving.

See you at the peak!

Letter From GOD To Women...

Dear Woman,

When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils. But you woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate.

I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you. Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects his heart and his lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do. Around this one bone I shaped you. I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully.

Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life. The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support the man as the rib cage supports the body.

You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side. You are My perfect angel. You are My beautiful little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and My eyes fill when I see the virtues in your heart.

Your eyes – don’t change them. Your lips – how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose, so perfect in form, your hands so gentle in touch. I’ve caressed your face in your deepest sleep; I’ve held your heart close to mine. Of all that lives and breathes, you are the most like Me.

Adam walked with Me in the cool of the day and yet he was lonely. He could not see Me or touch Me. He could only feel Me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with Me, I fashioned in you: My holiness, My strength, My purity, My love, My protection and support. You are special because you are the extension of Me.

Man represents My image, woman My emotions. Together you represent the totality of God. So man – treat woman well. Love her, respect her, for she is fragile. In hurting her, you hurt Me. What you do to her, you do to Me. In crushing her, you only damage your own heart, the heart of your Father, and the heart of her Father.

Woman, support man. In humility, show him the power of emotion I have given you. In gentle quietness show your strength. In love, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self.

From Me,
GOD

The Bible According To Kids...

Ok... Time for some fun. The statements below are said to be written by actual students and are genuine, authentic, and un-retouched... They appeared in the 12/31/95 issue of National Review.

It's like conducting a test in the Sunday School and discovered that the children wrote all these down! Please read on...

"In the first book of the Bible, Guinessis, God got tired of creating the world, so he took the Sabbath off."
"Adam and Eve were created from an apple tree."
"Noah's wife was called Joan of Ark."
"Noah built an ark, which the animals come on to in pears."
"Lot's wife was a pillar of salt by day, but a ball of fire by night."
"The Jews were a proud people and throughout history they had trouble with the unsympathetic Genitals."
"Samson was a strongman who let himself be led astray by a Jezebel like Delilah."
"Samson slayed the Philistines with the axe of the Apostles."
"Moses led the Hebrews to the Red Sea, where they made unleavened bread, which is bread without any ingredients."
"The Egyptians were all drowned in the dessert. Afterwards, Moses went up on Mount Cyanide to get the ten amendments."
"The first commandment was when Eve told Adam to eat the apple."
"The fifth commandment is to humor thy father and mother. The seventh commandment is thou shalt not admit adultery."
"Moses died before he ever reached Canada. Then Joshua led the Hebrews in the battle of Geritol. The greatest miracle in the Bible is when Joshua told his son to stand still and he obeyed him."
"David was a Hebrew king skilled at playing the liar. He fought with the Finklesteins, a race of people who lived in Biblical times."
"Solomon, one of David's sons, had 300 wives and 700 porcupines."
"When Mary heard that she was the mother of Jesus, she sang the Magna Carta."
"When the three wise guys from the east side arrived, they found Jesus in the manager. Jesus was born because Mary had an immaculate contraption."
"St. John, the blacksmith, dumped water on his head."
"Jesus enunciated the Golden Rule, which says to do one to others before they do one to you." "He also explained, 'a man doth not live by sweat alone.'"
"It was a miracle when Jesus rose from the dead and managed to get the tombstone off the entrance."
"The people who followed the Lord were called the 12 decibels."
"The epistles were the wives of the apostles."
"One of the opossums was St. Matthew who was also a taximan."
"St. Paul cavorted to Christianity. He preached holy acrimony, which is another name for marriage."
"A Christian should have only one spouse. This is called monotony."
Children and their imaginations sometimes!

Lessons Of Life...

There have been so many decisive moments in life when our actions have gone a long way in shaping the kind of person we eventually become. Situations expose us to experiences, which eventually build our being. Please read through these lessons and I am sure something, somewhere is going to unlock your spirit- just like it did mine!

First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady...
During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:
"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name?
I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.
"Absolutely, " said the professor.. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant.. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello.."
I've never forgotten that lesson.. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain...
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride.
Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960's. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab.
She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached.
It read:
"Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away...
God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others."
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nat King Cole.

Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve...
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, A 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.
"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress.
The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.
"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.
By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient..." Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.
The little boy again counted his coins "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away.
The boy finished the Ice Cream, paid the cashier and left.. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies..
You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path...
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the King's' wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it.. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of Vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many of us never understand!
Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts...
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister.
I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded.
He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away".
Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.

Most importantly.... "Work like you don't need the money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like you do when nobody's watching." You will be celebrated in 2013 in Jesus name.
